Here you are on the eve of your birthday all dressed up with Mummy to go to Liz's afternoon tea.
Happy Birthday morning beanie boo - you love to put things in and out of boxes or bags so Daddy & I bought you a ball pit. I think you and Gabey approved.
This is a classic Rosalind pose, you adore your big brother Gabey & want to do and be everywhere he is but you are firm about what is yours and will push and force him out of the way if you think he's encroaching on your space.
The centrepiece of your birthday brunch was fruit kebabs! You are an absolute fruit bat my sweet pea and eat grapes like they're going out of fashion. Mummy is convinced you can say the word grape - it sounds like gra gra!
You concentrate so well on tasks and have amazing fine motor skills - you can hold & scribble with a crayon, build a tower, devour a fruit kebab :) but you will not move your beautiful legs yet to walk or crawl!

Time for a 2nd party dress and onto the presents!
Wow I think this present is bigger than you!
After your presents you had to have a nap because you were so tired. You are still my very good sleeper Rosie Posey though you do not like being left for naps at all, only Jane can get you to still take 2 naps a day like Mummy wishes.
After nap time only Mummy would do. You are my girl and can call mama mama now when you want me to pick you up, but no-one makes you giggle at bedtime like Daddy can and you're happy to stay with MaaMa & Daada or Nanny & Gramps too.

After our guests left (Holly, MaaMa & Daada - just enough for you my crowd averse poppet!) we got to play outside with your new tunnel & the water table. I think this was your favourite part of the day, you love sitting inside things, boxes, tunnels, pools and were very happy sitting on your own inside your new mermaid cave putting balls in and out of things.

Then there was time for tea, a quick Mickey Mouse interlude on Mummy's lap, bath with new water crayons and another present from Aunty Alison
Now you're upstairs fast asleep oh baby of mine so a very very happy first birthday my Rosalind. You and your big brother are the lights of my life and every day you grow more and more fabulous, funny and wonderful
